Untitled II
Lea Roded

Our silences together

occasionally remind me

of the time when I

had stretched my hands

and heard a

“ click”

and stopped

amazed and terrified

convinced I had perhaps or maybe

dislocated a finger.

I had uncrooked my hand

wide-eyed

and suddenly could feel

every bone back in its place.

So it is with us,

sometimes.
